Lodi, Ca. - May 16 What a coincidence - A wine event the same day of the wedding

Lodi, Ca. - May 16 Mid-day on Saturday, we began touring the wineries with a start at the Lodi Wine and Visitors Center where we got some good advice. One of the old timers stayed at the Center rather than troup out to the Zinfest where 6,000 wine lovers were braving the 100F temperatures. He suggested we do individual wineries. What an idea!

Lodi, Ca. - May 16 Our first stop was the Jessie's Grove Winery Here, our wine guide was Brenda, a fire plug who was very much up to our abuse and frivolity. We sampled a viognier, six zinfandels, a cabernet savignon and a dessert wine. Wow, what a start. I bought a bottle of their Westwind zin - named after the owner's favorite quarterhorse.
