Donald Ijams was born in Tucson and has been a lifelong resident. He was educated in Tucson's public schools and earned a Ph.D. in social psychology at The University of Arizona. He retired from the Tucson Police Department in 2005 after a career as a police statistician, planner and analyst.

Don is a volunteer with Imagine Greater Tucson, helping with process design, data analysis and other stages of the IGT process. He and his wife Kenith Ijams live in midtown Tucson and have one daughter who is a teacher in Tucson and one grandson. (selected comments)
  
Oscar Gandy is an emeritus professor of communication. His research and writing has been focused on the information environment with an emphasis on the role of communications systems and institutions in the reproduction of inequality. He was a founding member of the Union for Democratic Communication, and a member and later board chair of the Electronic Privacy Information Center. He has recently published a book about decision support systems, discrimination, and cumulative disadvantage. Oscar is a core team member of Sustainabile Tucson, a volunteer with Imagine Greater Tucson and has lived in central Tucson since 2006.
  
Patrick Hartley started with Imagine Greater Tucson as a volunteer in August 2010 and has been a paid member of the staff since October 2010. Originally from Michigan, he received his BA from Western Michigan University in American Studies and Anthropology in 2004 and his Masters in Urban Planning from The University of Arizona in 2010. Between degrees, he spent time in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Hangzhou, China working as an English teacher. His focus in Urban Planning was on international development and land use with a special emphasis on non-profits in development. Patrick has lived in Tucson since Summer 2008.
