Theme 1. Community
 What do you like the most about our community/region?
  Creative Open Minded People
  The way so many residents give up their weekends to voluteer
  Compassionate community! A "community" of neighbors
  Everyone's sense of community
  I like Tucson's diversity and anti-Phoenix way of doing things
  Multi cultures
  My family (generations 5)
  Diversity of people
  Over all, a well rounded diverse place

  Close to the border
  (Four drawings - bike, world, girl, heart) I like Tucson because Tucson is a great place to play. And because it is a beautiful place. And because there is ? bikes. And it is fun
 What do you most want to change or improve about our community/region?
  The way so many people report their neighbors to police - over petty matters
  Less wrangling about who does "green" better. Let's work together!
  More opportunities for youth
 Why is this important? How does this affect you?
  Wonderful grassroots and volunteerism - government needs to bring these together
  Art, history, culture
  Tucson is affordable
  There are good volunteers
  Working on changing things one community at a time
  Lack of participation

 What do you like the most about our community/region?
  City owns water
 What do you most want to change or improve about our community/region?
  have everyone implement water harvesting practices
  Less growth due to water situation
 
Theme 3. Governance
 What do you most want to change or improve about our community/region?
  Ineffectual city government
 Why is this important? How does this affect you?
  No sense of one community
  Divided - no consensus
  Negativity
  No political will to accomplish anything
  Government is bloated - no vision
  Don't have infrastructure, community
  Difficulty finding good, walkable, central neighborhood
  Access to information (poor media)
  No vision or competing visions
  Lack of coherent direction
 
Theme 4. Economy (Jobs)
 What do you most want to change or improve about our community/region?
  Better education for K-12
  I'd like Tucson to become more of a city where businesses want to relocate to, where small businesses thrive, where public markets like Granville Island become a source for fresh food instead of chain super markets
  More high-paying jobs
  Train local residents for local jobs
  Would like to see more professional job opportunities
  Needs more substantial employment
 
Theme 5. Built Environment
 What do you like the most about our community/region?
  Downtown!
  Economy has slowed down expansion
  Urban core: Down town - 4th Avenue - U of A
 What do you most want to change or improve about our community/region?
  All big/ugly fast roads/ (drawing of sign and 6 cars) (too many)
  Repeal the R.T.A.
  Tax and impact reform
  Too much politics between jurisdictions. All are fighting over resources and tax base. Can't we all get along and follow a common vision?
  Current system does not promote leadership Form of Government i.e.: strong mayor City - County consolidation
  Instill pride Tucson becoming "Detroit" of S.W.
  Better Media!
  More forethought in expanding areas of city

  No physical planning (resources, capacity)
  Dedicated funding
  Impact fees need to be re-worked
  Sprawl- low density and housing not sustainable
  Lack of public transportation
  No pride (garbage, funding, lack of services)
