Notes from the May - June 2009
Tour of Ireland, Scotland, Scandinavia and England

London, England - June 22
On our walk toward the Visitors Centre, we passed by Admiralty Arch.

The Mall, looking toward Buckingham Palace.

After getting our passes, we bought two tickets on the Original London Sightseeing Bus Tour.
We rode the Yellow Tour on Original`s hop-on-hop-off double decker tour bus.
We were on the Strand here and passed a hotel my aunt and uncle enjoy while visiting London.

The 40 story Swiss Re Building (bullet shaped) is in the distance. Also called The Gherkin

The London Eye

We got off the Yellow Tour when it looped back to Trafalgar Square and had lunch at the Sherlock Holmes
Pub. We both had fish and chips and pints of ale. After lunch, we got on the Red Tour, toured around
eventually passing the Clock Tower (aka Big Ben) and got off on Horseferry Rd for the walk to our
flat at the corner of Marsham and Vincent St. Later we enjoyed an Indian meal at Millbank Spice.
