Notes from the May - June 2009
Tour of Ireland, Scotland, Scandinavia and England

London, England - June 26
The British Museum
Clocks and Watches Gallery

`Mechanical clocks were invented in Western Europe in the medieval period and were
first used in cathedrals and churches. Room 39 traces their development from these earliest
examples to complex and highly decorative domestic clocks, marine chronometers,
mass-market designs and modern precision time-keeping.`

While Kenith rested, I went to see the HSBC Money Gallery.

After the Museum, we walked to Charing Cross Rd and caught No. 88 for the flat.
